Bio

I was born in Ladysmith, Wisconsin and raised in Cebu City, Philippines. I became thoroughly Filipino and then thoroughly American when my family moved back to Wisconsin.

In high school I was a leader in my Boy Scout troup, and the vice president of my high school’s National Honor Society chapter. While in high school I started my consulting business and had a full-time employee for 2.5 years.

I’m currently at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying all sorts of cool things.

Friends

My friends like to talk about stuff and then do things, I think that’s cool.

Diaz: Former/current/future colleague, wannabe redneck, activist, Christian, PHP codeslinger I’m proud to call my friend.

Kanatzidis: Fellow UW-Madison student, engineer/physicist/mathematician/madman, Boston Legal and Doctor Who enthusiast, ladies’ man.

Urban Agrarian: Fellow UW students Amanda and Spencer run an awesome blog about the music scene in Madison. If you’re interested in local music and want to see some good shows, you need to follow them.

Non-Computing Projects and Interests

I’m interested in Christianity. I’m an active member of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at UW-Madison.

Hospitality, openness, and honesty are very important to me, although they don’t always come easy.

I enjoy mathematics and language. I have studied French, Mandarin, and Old English formally.

Computing Projects and Interests

I did full-time consulting with PHP, MySQL, and Javascript from 2004 through 2008. I think Javascript is an amazing tool and I’m happy the browser wars are pushing JS performance. In 2010 I ended my 2-year hiatus from Javascript development – hooray!

I want to help develop solid software and help people communicate with each other more effectively.
