Safari 5 extension, featured on Apple’s extension gallery. When you’re on twitter.com, all tweets in your timeline will be automatically translated to your native language. New in 2.0: works with the new web interface, can show you original text before translation, and other nice things.
See: before and after. Example tweets from @2nn_dqnplus.
Download the extension and follow me on Twitter!

brilliant and fast extension but how about a way to see what tweets have been translated to distinguish them from the native language ones.
also an easy way to switch it on and off (contextual menu?) would be useful.
Hamada – below the tweet, if it has been translated, it will show the to/from language.
“less than 20 seconds ago via Termtter (ja to en)”
In this case, on my front page, a tweet has been translated from Japanese to English.
No easy way to turn it off, and this feature won’t be showing up soon. If you want to see the original-language tweets, note when a tweet has been translated, turn off the extension temporarily and refresh the page with the tweet on it.
Привет!
Будьте любезны на iPad будет работать это расширение???
С наилучшими пожеланиями.
Ok.
how do i make this work on the new twitter? thanks
bryson – the updated version should work with the new Twitter.
Does this no longer work with https?
Awesome Josh and thanks for the tip. Twitter Translate runs perfectly on my twitter. Excellent addon! I did have to temporarily turn off the addon to view the tweets in the origional language but for me it was definitely worth it.
I kind of agree with @Robert. It would be nice for this application to have an instant ON/OFF function. I’d like to know from which country people are posting from. But in general, I think that this is a great addon.
I can not understand how I get rid of Twitter Translate. It shows original of tweets only occasionally. I do not want to see all the tweets in Russian translation. I want myself to choose , translate into Russian or read in the original.

Stopped working when I upgraded to Lion. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling extension. Still Not working.
