If someone says “we are thinking of adding another business parter”, what they’re trying to say is this: “We love your work, you’re really great. But we don’t want to pay you. Will you work for free while we stick advertisements in your work and try to make money from it?”
If someone offers me the choice of working for my full hourly price, OR being a “partner” and getting possibly more returns later, I might consider. If this is a way to cut your costs at my expense…. no.
